As part of serving clients with dependable and up-to-date technical expertise in the ever-changing and dynamic software world, Synergy Solutions International is now growing their team.Database AdministratorJob SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performance tuning of database systems, developing processes for optimizing database security, diagnosing and troubleshooting database errors, and recommending emerging database technologies.Performance tuning of database systemsDevelop processes for optimizing database securityDiagnose and troubleshoot database errorsRecommend and potentially implement emerging database technologiesCreate and manage database reports and dashboardsBe available for on-call supportDetailed understanding of Oracle Database operational running and replicationStrong command of SQL and SQL toolsetsKnowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standardsUnix Shell scriptingUnderstanding of relational data modellingStrong mathematical and statistical knowledgeGood written and verbal communicationsExperience with Unix environmentsMust have an IT-related DegreeFamiliarity with Cloud hosted database environmentsExperience with other database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j)Experience with any computer languageTechnical SkillsWe'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:Experience with a relational database management system (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server)Experience with a Linux or UNIX-based OSSynergy Solutions International Limited is an equal opportunities employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
