There is no on-call or weekend work to allow for a strong work life balanceYou will be part of a forward-thinking, innovative healthcare team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and mental health professionals, delivering high quality, best practice treatment. You will also form part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team comprising physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 58 prisons across the country. You will be closely supported and mentored by our Team Lead Podiatrist, and with our appraisal system, in-service training and funding for external clinical courses, you will have an excellent supportive learning environment.Main duties of the jobThis role requires the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the offender healthcare setting who may have complex and/or chronic presentation. You will need to determine clinical diagnosis and treatment, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.Qualities and requirements include HCPC registration with post-registration experience assessing and treating a range of conditions including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies and nail surgery.
