Customer Advisor – TradePoint Employer: B&Q Barrow – Location: Barrow‑In‑Furness, England Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour (notional) Contract: Fixed Term until 31 Jan – Full Time (36.75 hrs/week) Shifts: Monday‑Sunday, 7:00 am–10:00 pm (rota includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays) Overview We believe anyone can improve their home to make life better. Join us as a TradePoint Customer Advisor and help deliver a great experience for our TradePoint members by engaging, listening and selling the right products and services. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for TradePoint members at the counter. Build and maintain relationships with trade members, understanding their businesses through meaningful conversations. Recommend appropriate products and services that meet members’ needs and create new business opportunities. Promote and sign up members to our trade loyalty scheme. Participate in a team rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Continuously develop skills through training and peer learning. Qualifications Excellent communication and team‑working skills. Ability to adapt communication style to varied customers and colleagues. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships. Enthusiastic about helping trade members achieve value for themselves and their clients. Flexible and willing to work a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
