Our new 237,000-square-foot Newport facility provides additional production and customer collaboration spaces, including 25,000 square feet of R&D clean rooms, 35,000 square feet of state-of-the-art manufacturing space and tool demo areas, all designed to support development of semiconductor process technologies across advanced packaging, power devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), radio frequency (RF) and photonics sector technology.This is an exciting role within our Manufacturing Design Engineering (MDE) team, focused on the design and development of improvements to product and processes to support manufacturing growth, new product, and continuous improvement projectsWithin this team, the MDE will play a meaningful role in ensuring manufacturing and its support teams are planning and delivering to the correct specifications, in the most efficient way possible, to deliver high value capital equipment, on time, in full, and to spec.To be most effective our MDEs have an input in activities across the organisation and, as a result, have an outstanding ability to develop multiple multi-functional relationships and contribute to the growth of both the MDE and their support teams technical capabilities.To hit the ground and make an immediate impact, we expect MDEs to have a broad understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and a desire to continually improve.Your day-to-day responsibilities:Support to manufacturing teams utilising a Quick Response Quality Control methodologyProvide feedback on Design for Manufacture to Product Design and New Product Launch teamsDevelop Standard Operating ProceduresUse SPC and Dashview to improve the quality of the products that are producedCreate maintenance and training plans for Shopfloor test equipment, lifting gear and safety equipmentManage specifications with Enovia PLM - Training will be providedLead multiple projects, working multi-functionally with our Operations and Engineering TeamsInvestigate and resolve technical challenges to support manufacturing processesPerform root cause analysis and implement appropriate corrective and preventative actionsGenerate, review, and approve Engineering Change OrdersUnderstanding budgets and support CAPEX requestsImplementing change, right first time, following our Product Lifecycle (PLC) processShift work will be required days and afternoons shift premium will be paidKLA is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
