Job Responsibilities Based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, contribute to delivery and development of Dermatology services across all Trust sites. Provide outpatient and minor operative services in Dermatology, including cancer services; advise medical and surgical inpatients. Collaborate with medical and nursing colleagues to improve and advance the service. Share responsibility for the management of the Department. Lead teaching and training of trainees, resident medical staff, nursing staff, and medical students. Ensure active participation in continuing professional development (CPD). Address the increasing demand in Dermatology; offer appropriate level of general Dermatology skills and complement existing specialists. Person Specification Personal Qualities Understands self (strengths and weaknesses) and impact of behaviour on others. Evidence of continual learning and development. Qualifications MRCP (or equivalent). Licence to Practice, fully registered with the GMC and hold Specialist Registration within Dermatology. Relevant higher degree (desirable). Within 6 months of being admitted to the specialist register for Dermatology (desirable). Experience High level of clinical experience and competence in all aspects of Dermatology. Expert clinical opinions on a range of problems within the specialty. Ability to work with and lead others across professions. Wide based experience in Dermatology (desirable). Attendance at a recognised management course (desirable). Teaching Experience and enthusiasm for clinical teaching of postgraduate doctors and non‑medical staff. Academic achievements, familiarity with research methods resulting in publications (desirable). Training in clinical and educational supervision (desirable). Attendance at a teaching course (desirable). Formal qualification in teaching/education (desirable). Audit and Research Knowledge of audit principles and participation in completion of audit projects with implementation of outcomes. Knowledge of research methodology (desirable).
