Role OverviewDetention Custody Officer (DCO) – Larne House Residential Short-Term holding Facility. 42 hours per week, £27,846.96 per annum, rolling shift pattern covering both days and nights. Shift pattern 4on4off (2 days 18:30–06:30 followed by 2 nights 18:30–06:30). 24-hour service, 365 days a year.ResponsibilitiesAs a DCO you will maintain high standards of security and safety while promoting the welfare and decency of residents. You will support the Belfast team in escorting and safely transporting immigration residents across Northern Ireland and by aircraft and ferry to the Mainland UK. You will drive a small mini bus sized vehicle and escort residents, while ensuring safety, security, and welfare of the facility and colleagues. You will cover day and night shifts, including bank holidays and weekends. Full training is given on FULL PAY.QualificationsUK citizen, Citizen of the Commonwealth with your own indefinite leave to remain (not through marriage), or EEA citizen.Valid and in-date passport, no restrictions on your stay in the UK.Continuously resided in the UK for the previous 3 years with no more than 3 months spent overseas at any one time.Full UK Northern Ireland manual driving licence with at least 12 months post qualifying experience.Fewer than 7 points on your UK Driving Licence.Have not been subject to a driving ban within the last 12 months.Not currently bankrupt.BenefitsPension and life insurance.
