Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-Colored Converting Press Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring the production of high-quality printed materials using advanced printing technology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating multi-colored converting presses or similar equipment and demonstrate a commitment to precision, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities Demonstrates and understands the functions and basic mechanical workings of assigned machines under limited supervision Follows work order instructions and performs labeling requirement Performs quality tests per ISO procedure Adheres to productivity standard Complies with all required safety practices and use of PPE Contributes primarily through execution of defined processes and procedures but may make suggestions for process improvement Resolves a variety of problems of limited complexity by following highly detailed instructions or procedure Nilpeter experience would be a distinct advantage Builds productive working relationships internally, generally within immediate department or team Learns policies and procedures and how to apply them to issues experienced in routine activities Learns and closely follows established processes and direction Receives Direct Supervision for routine work, new projects or assignment Ability to run multi color printing machine Follow Zebra shared value Run converting presses to produce high quality labels Qualifications 1-2 years similar work experience Excellent mechanical abilities Ability to follow written and verbal instruction Able to work effectively with others Basic math and computer skill Ability to work with light to medium machinery 1+ year of related experience operating finishing and or label converting equipment (die cutting, laminating, slitting, etc) Nilpeter Printing Experience: Prior experience working with Nilpeter presses is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage Benefits 25 days holiday + public holidays Up to 32 hours paid time off per year to volunteer with a charity of your choice Reward & Recognition scheme - earn points to spend on… Pension Scheme with a matched contribution up to 7% Private medical coverage Access to an innovative online learning platform Cycle to work scheme Seniority level Associate Employment type Full-time Job function Supply Chain Industries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage and Warehousing and Storage Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Zebra Technologies by 2x Get notified about new Press Machine Operator jobs in Preston, England, United Kingdom.
