HIAB Driver - Immediate Start (Thurrock) Location: West Thurrock Pay Rate: £19.00 - £20 per hour Type: Ad-Hoc / Temporary Driver / ongoing About the Role We are currently looking for a HIAB Driver for an immediate start to work in the Thurrock area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading independent UK distributor and represent the company in a professional, customer-facing role. You'll be responsible for delivering goods safely, efficiently, and on time, operating the HIAB to load and unload materials, and maintaining the highest standards of service. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a HIAB (Lorry Mounted Crane) to load and deliver goods Carry out multi-drop deliveries across RM and surrounding areas Conduct vehicle checks and ensure your vehicle remains clean and tidy Drive responsibly and comply with all road safety regulations Develop your route knowledge to ensure efficient deliveries Provide outstanding customer service with a polite and professional approach Stay calm and courteous in all situations, even under pressure Work flexibly and be available at short notice when required Requirements Hold a FULL ALLMI HIAB Licence with a minimum of 6 months' experience Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence, CPC, and Digital Tacho Card Maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements) Smart appearance and professional attitude Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Strong local area knowledge Ability to work independently and as part of a team Own transport to get to and from the workplace Pay & Benefits £19 - £20 per hour Guaranteed 8 hours' pay per shift Weekly pay and full support from Driver Hire Romford Ongoing, regular work with reputable local clients Excellent career progression opportunities Work with a team that values professionalism and reliability About Driver Hire Driver Hire is the UK's largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company.
