A large and well-respected secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a passionate and experienced Subject Lead for Religious Education (RE) to lead and shape the department's future. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented teacher to step into a leadership role and have a lasting impact on the RE curriculum and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the RE department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement an engaging and thought-provoking RE curriculum that promotes respect and understanding of different faiths and cultures.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement.
- Support and mentor colleagues to promote excellent teaching practices.
- Contribute to the wider school community and promote the values of the school.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related subject.
- Proven experience of teaching RE across KS3 and KS4.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with a passion for curriculum development.
- Ability to inspire and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
Desirable:
- Prior experience in a leadership or departmental role.
