Job Description The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London. About the opportunity As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. You will build great relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice based on your healthcare knowledge. This role is store‑based in the UK. Remote applicants and candidates outside the UK will not be considered unless relevant UK qualifications and right‑to‑work can be confirmed. Key responsibilities Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labeling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions). Work with other healthcare professionals in your store to assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services. Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist as appropriate. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions. Keep up to date with new innovations in the store and comply with operational processes. Support patients in managing their prescriptions their way, providing reliable repeats and promoting adherence to reduce waste. You will also have the opportunity to work with evolving technologies within the store, developing traditional dispensing processes to further improve patient safety and free up time to spend with patients. Career development Regular updates and training will help you develop your healthcare knowledge, and you may choose to train as a Pharmacy Technician or join the store leadership team. What you’ll need to have Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or be currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification. Current and valid UK right‑to‑work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa. It would be great if you also have Experience working in community pharmacy.
