Key Skills And Qualifications Class 2 (C) Licence / Valid Driver CPC/Tacho Card Experience of HGV Class 2 driving essential Knowledge of vehicle weights and legal limits Understanding of Drivers Hours, Working Time Directive regulations, and Road Traffic Laws Knowledge of Construction and Use Regulations Effective communication skills and ability to work unsupervised under pressure Flexible approach to hours of work and consistently reliable and dependable Key Duties & Responsibilities Delivery and collection of customer freight as assigned by the Transport Office to and from various locations and regions Multi‑drop delivery and collections Supervise loading of vehicle to ensure products are safely loaded and secured to minimise damage Ensure correct goods and quantity are loaded and unloaded Plan day and route in the most cost‑ and operationally‑effective manner Present, process and return customer delivery notes Secure and return Proof of Delivery advice notes (POD) electronically or manually Inform the Transport Office of any delays while at work Maintain vehicle inside and out in a clean, tidy condition Refuel vehicle daily in accordance with Company Procedure We Can Offer You Highly competitive salary of £32,760.00 25 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays Company Pension Scheme Uniform and Company paid PPE Continuous training, including driver CPC Funding for driver medicals Discount platform Full training and support Cycle to work scheme Employee Assistance Programme Employee Engagement Forum Regular engagement initiatives, including treat days Learning Management System for continuous learning Mental health forum to support wellbeing How To Apply If you’re a skilled HGV Class 2 Driver who thrives on the open road and takes pride in delivering excellent service, apply now with your CV or contact our recruitment team directly.
