Key Responsibilities Define, develop, and maintain a clear data product vision that aligns with client objectives, translating business needs into actionable product requirements. Drive new product functionalities and features, creating and updating comprehensive documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitating alignment on product goals and acting as a liaison between technical teams and business units. Ensure product development adheres to industry regulations, data quality standards, and data governance policies. Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and developers to ensure timely delivery of features. Define KPIs and success metrics for data products, monitoring performance post‑launch. Additional Role Contributions Business Development – Supporting and/or leading on proposals, RFPs, bids, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events. Internal Contribution – Proposition development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities). Learning & Development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, including leadership and technology certifications. YOUR PROFILE We are looking for candidates who bring a combination of technical expertise, consultancy experience, and leadership skills to excel in this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate most or all of the following: Current experience in a consulting firm and/or a Financial Services background (minimum 2/4 years, depending on grade) with evidence of effective stakeholder management. Experience in delivering/managing a data product within an agile/SAFe framework. Experience across end‑to‑end product development, including technology implementation and large‑scale deployments, with awareness of the latest tools & technologies. Ability to simplify complex concepts, communicate outcomes, and tell compelling stories to audiences at all levels. Experience leading a team of developers/engineers and managing technical and non‑technical stakeholders across the client organisation. SC Eligible Technical And Analytical Skills Extensive experience and strong understanding of product management principles, user story creation, and tools such as JIRA. Familiarity with SQL and coding languages like Python. Strong understanding of governance principles and the ability to track success metrics such as KPIs or OKRs. Strong understanding of data modelling and ETL processes. Familiarity with project governance techniques for product delivery (e.g., backlog management, feature prioritisation). Practical experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe frameworks. Strong storytelling and presentation skills to convey technical and non‑technical concepts. Experience harnessing data to enhance user experience. Additional Requirements for Senior Consultant Certified as a product owner/scrum master/SAFe practitioner. Evidence of driving data product strategy. Understanding of data product architecture. Demonstrated experience in people or workstream management. Experience supporting and participating in the commercial cycle, including defining project scope and agreeing on budgets.
