Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research & Development Placement Student to join our team on a 12‑month contract commencing in July 2026 in our R&D department. The job holder will gain valuable industrial skills in solid‑form and physicochemical studies, salt/polymorph, co‑crystal screening, chiral separation, scale‑up, and crystallisation development. Core Responsibilities Comply with SOPs and demonstrate commitment to Safety & Quality cultures. Conduct laboratory experiments and participate in investigative R&D work in the labs. Provide technical and analytical support by performing analyses on API molecules. Understand projects to contribute to planning and experiment design. Potentially contribute to writing a scientific article or patent. Maintain detailed records of work and prepare reports where appropriate. Work safely and maintain tidy working areas. Liaise with other departments, particularly analytical. Carry out other duties within the employee’s skills and abilities as reasonably instructed. Qualifications Currently studying a Chemistry or Pharmaceutical science‑based Undergraduate degree or relevant scientific degree, having completed three years of study by July 2026. Practical laboratory experience. High attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy. Strong communication skills, able to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
