Activity Residential Support Worker – New Forest Care Ltd We are looking to recruit dynamic Support Workers to join our residential childcare team as part of our dedicated ARC (Activity Residential Care) service. Children placed with us are often moving on from a crisis or placement breakdown and may be displaying exceptionally challenging behaviours. We work with vulnerable children through short‑term programmes, building self‑esteem and confidence to support their transitions into long‑term placements and education. Working Hours Option 1: Up to 51 hours per week Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday Option 2: 44 hours per week – 3 long days per week Eligibility Right to work in the UK – the company is unable to sponsor international workers. Essential Requirements Compassionate, resilient and committed to being a positive role model. Able to do overnight sleep‑ins which are part of the role. Confident in managing challenging behaviours. Flexible with a residential care rota that includes evenings, weekends and holidays. Desirable Requirements Full UK driving licence and access to a car due to rural locations. Experience supporting vulnerable young people within a residential care environment or another professional setting. Purpose of the Role Provide unconditional care for our children, ensuring their physical, emotional and everyday needs are met. Maintain the home and welfare of each child, ensuring a healthy balanced diet and routine; support attendance at health appointments and education. Deliver a consistent, high‑quality service; complete daily records and contribute to reports and assessments. Through activities help children develop self‑esteem, safety and personal strategies to address unhelpful behaviour and thoughts, ultimately achieving their optimum potential. Support and promote a positive safeguarding culture. Encourage teamwork, creativity and openness. Lead and support a wide range of activities and daily tasks where appropriate.
