Role Overview The job is a full‑time post without on‑call with an effective start date of February 2026. The job plan will include theatre, outpatient and cystoscopy sessions and participation in MDTs. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical research and in the surgical educational activities at the Christie. Key responsibilities Participate in prostate cancer diagnostics and surgical management (robotic) Manage testis cancer (retroperitoneal surgery) Conduct soft tissue sarcoma surgery (robotic/open) Provide penile cancer and andrology services (penile prosthesis) Treat renal and adrenal cancer (robotic/open) Deliver “Late effects” service – surgical management of complications of cancer, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, including Genito‑Urinary reconstructive surgery Perform core urology duties Engage in research and contribute to national/international presentations or publications Rotate to diagnostics clinics Assist level II/III urological cancer surgery team Prepare patients pre‑operatively and care post‑operatively Participate in audit, MDT and research meetings Required qualifications Good general surgical experience with core skills in Urology Minimum 4 years of full‑time post‑graduate training, at least 2 of which in a specialty training programme Evidence of teaching activity over the last 12 months and a desire to be involved in teaching Previous senior fellow level experience Evidence of participation in research with potential to publish or present Other details Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Health Care Provider / Hospitals and Health Care Applications are invited for this post in the department of Uro‑Oncological Surgery at the largest single site cancer hospital in Europe.
