Their mission is to redefine how people experience and manage events through cutting-edge digital solutions. As part of their continued growth, they’re now looking for an experienced IT Director to lead their technology function and drive the next phase of product and platform development. The Role The IT Director will take ownership of the company’s technical strategy and delivery, managing a cross‑functional team that includes software engineers, QA specialists, project managers, and other technical staff. This is a senior leadership role with both strategic and hands‑on elements. You’ll be responsible for evolving the company’s core platform and app, overseeing the build‑out of a scalable SaaS solution, and ensuring the smooth operation of both back‑office systems and customer‑facing technologies. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver strategic technology initiatives, enhance user experience, and ensure the business remains at the forefront of digital innovation in the events industry. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the internal technical team (engineers, QA, PMs, etc.). Oversee the architecture, development, and delivery of the platform and mobile app. Drive the creation and scaling of a robust SaaS platform to support future growth. Manage the integration and optimisation of systems such as Stripe, Yoti, and Azure. Ensure smooth operation and security across all technology environments. Collaborate with commercial and product teams to align technology with business goals. Lead on major transformation and digital innovation projects. Balance strategic planning with practical, hands‑on problem‑solving. Key Requirements Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role (IT Director, Head of Technology, or CTO level). Strong background in developing and scaling SaaS platforms. Must have experience working on apps. Broad technical knowledge across both back‑office infrastructure and customer‑facing applications. Hands‑on experience with cloud technologies, ideally Azure. Familiarity with Stripe (payments) and Yoti (digital identity verification). Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with a delivery‑focused mindset. Experience managing high‑performing, multidisciplinary technical teams.
