OverviewThe salary for this role is £12.40 per hour. This is a temporary Christmas position with potential for a permanent role later depending on local opportunities. You will work in a Boots store, greeting customers, offering product and gift advice, and creating a memorable shopping experience.Location: Durham, Market Place. Availability to start from October with various shift patterns; may include weekends and public holidays.What you'll doCustomer Interaction: Offer thoughtful advice, recommend products and highlight offers to ensure an enjoyable shopping experience.Till Operation: Help with purchases at the counter or support self-checkout systems, bringing energy and efficiency to transactions.Stock Management: Keep shelves full so customers can find what they need during the peak season.Store Presentation: Ensure the store area looks its best at all times.Online order support: May assist with deliveries, picking and packing for online orders as needed.What you’ll need to haveAvailable to work on Bank Holidays including Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.Customer Service Skills: Comfortable approaching customers and providing a personalised experience.Operations Ready: Ability to balance customer care with daily shop floor and operational tasks.Tech-Savvy: Able to learn and use new technology, including handheld devices, tills and self-checkouts.Team Player: Collaborative, one-team mindset to help achieve store goals.Physical Stamina: Able to stand, walk and lift as needed.Brand Ambassador: Enthusiasm for Boots ethos, products and services.Desirable experienceExperience in a retail or customer-facing environmentFamiliar with Boots products and servicesCareer developmentThere are opportunities to continue your career with Boots, whether in retail or pharmacy, store leadership, or in the Support Office.
