Workshop Team Leader

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Workshop Team Leader to join a growing plant hire business serving the construction, rail, major project, and energy sectors. The role involves leading a team of workshop fitters to maintain, repair, and prepare plant hire equipment to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and quality. You will work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations, adherence to company procedures, and a positive, safe working environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role with excellent opportunities to develop your team and influence workshop processes. This position is based in Weston-Super-Mare.Job OverviewTeam Leadership & CoordinationLead and support a team of workshop fitters in day-to-day tasks.Allocate jobs and resources to meet service and turnaround targets.Mentor and train new and existing team members and apprentices.Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and conducting six-monthly personal development reviews.Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor and other departments.Maintenance & RepairsPerform services, pre-delivery inspections (PDI), post-hire inspections (PHI), 12-monthly inspections, and repairs.Ensure all plant equipment is maintained to a high standard and prepared for hire.Health & Safet... #J-18808-Ljbffr
