Associate / Associate Director - Structures - Energy Join WSP as we expand our leadership team with experienced professionals ready to take a strategic role in shaping the future of UK energy infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the structural design and delivery of complex energy infrastructure projects, including Transmission and Distribution networks, OHL systems, power stations, and other critical energy assets. Provide strategic input into project planning, resourcing, and risk management. Deliver structural solutions for substations, transmission and distribution facilities, OHL structures, and power stations. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Contribute to business development, including bids, proposals, and client presentations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable design solutions. Support the development of best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. About You We’re looking for an experienced leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for infrastructure. Essential Qualifications & Experience Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant professional body. Significant experience in structural engineering design and project leadership. Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams. Strong commercial awareness and client‑facing skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. Ideally, experience in one or more of the following Substations Transmission and Distribution infrastructure Overhead Line (OHL) projects Power stations Petrochemical facilities What’s in it for you A senior role in delivering nationally significant energy infrastructure projects.
