The ideal candidate will be required to have a flexible approach as overtime and on-call duties may be required.Due to the nature of our client's work the successful candidate will need to be eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance.Responsibilities:Working on s secure single person location with End User Compute support, with wider support team on sister locations throughout the UK.Desktop / Laptop / VDI build, configuration and deployment to end usersAsset and peripheral deploymentsIn depth investigation into issues to pass back to 3rd line supportAssisting the 2nd Line support team with laptop, desktop and VDI terminals support callsHardware installation / upgrade / break fix for desktop, laptop, and serverVIP supportService Desk cover as requiredAssisting with customer projectsWhat we're looking for:Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 Operating Systems – Deployment, configurationSupport Microsoft Office 2010 onwardsProven and demonstrable software and hardware troubleshooting skills, experience in a Deskside Support roleKnowledge of Microsoft SCCM and OS / Application deployment good verbal communication: ability to communicate to all levelsGood written communication: concise and accurate call logging, documentation, and email correspondenceGood time management / organisational skillsWork well independently or as part of a team.Self-motivatedProactive approachExcellent customer skills a must for this positionMicrosoft Windows 7/10 training and certificationLegacy O/SActive Directory managementUnderstanding of SCCMExposure to Win11Exposure to Entra, Azure and ZScalerUnderstanding of McAfee EPOWhat We Will Do For YouCompetitive compensationDXC Select – Our comprehensive benefits package (includes private health/medical insurance, , gym membership and more)Perks at Work (discounts on technology, groceries, travel and more)At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
