Start Date: Immediate
About Us
At SEND Inclusion Support, we’re passionate about creating a nurturing, inclusive, and personalised learning environment where every student can thrive. We specialise in supporting young people facing barriers to learning—whether SEND, SEMH, or Emotional-Based School Avoidance (EBSA). Our focus is on helping students flourish academically and emotionally, particularly as they prepare for KS4 and GCSE exams. We fill learning gaps, build confidence, and empower students to reach their potential.
We’re looking for a compassionate, adaptable Nurture Teacher to join our team and make a real difference in students’ lives.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic educators who love teaching KS4 core subjects (English, Maths, Science) and guiding students through GCSE preparation. You’ll deliver tailored lessons in supportive environments—including libraries, community spaces, or students’ homes—creating learning experiences that are engaging, meaningful, and personalised. With flexible hours during the school day, you’ll have the freedom to design your timetable while making a lasting impact on young learners.
Key Responsibilities
*
Plan, deliver, and assess KS4/GCSE-focused lessons to close learning gaps and build exam confidence.
*
Adapt teaching to students’ interests, motivating and engaging them while boosting self-esteem.
*
Provide personalised academic and emotional support for students with SEND, SEMH, and EBSA.
*
Teach in a variety of settings, including local libraries and students’ homes, choosing the best environment for learning.
*
Create a safe, nurturing space for social, emotional, and academic development.
*
Collaborate with parents, carers, schools, and external agencies to support each student holistically.
*
Track progress and refine strategies to ensure consistent academic growth.
*
Foster positive behaviour, resilience, and a growth mindset.
What We’re Looking For
*
PGCE with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
*
Experience teaching KS4/GCSE core subjects (English, Maths, Science).
*
Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or EBSA highly desirable.
*
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*
Flexible, proactive approach with a talent for personalising learning.
*
Passion for helping students overcome barriers and achieve success.
*
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a supportive team.
*
Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student well-being.
Why Join Us?
*
Flexibility to set your own hours within the school day.
*
Opportunities to teach in varied environments—libraries, community spaces, or students’ homes.
*
Supportive team culture with an open-door policy at our Wigan office.
*
24/7 on-call support for staff whenever needed.
*
Access to a comprehensive online resource bank for KS4/GCSE teaching.
*
Regular CPD and professional development opportunities.
*
The chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people on their GCSE journey.
If you’re passionate about supporting students with additional needs and thrive on helping young people succeed academically and emotionally, we want to hear from you.
