OverviewFire Service EngineerA quick one before the year wraps up. A respected fire and security employer is looking for an experienced Fire Service Engineer to cover Canterbury and nearby areas.What you will be doingPlanned servicing and maintenanceReactive callouts and fault findingRemedial repairs to a high standardWorking on fire detection, emergency lighting, AOVs, and associated systemsClear handover to customers on what you found and what needs doingCompleting service reports properlyKeeping the van stock tidy and well managedSupporting the wider team and helping juniors when neededWhat you needYou will already have solid fire and life safety experience, with a good working grasp of BS5839 and the other day-to-day standards. You are happy working on your own, make sensible calls on site, and stay calm when things get busy. A full manual licence with low points is needed, and you will need to pass an enhanced DBS check.Salary and packageBasic salary up to £39,000Overtime available1 in 3 callout rota with £245 per week standby feeDoor-to-door travel paid while on callCompany van for private use plus fuel cardPhone, uniform, PPE, and specialist tools providedGENT training as soon as you joinHealthcare cash back scheme optionalProgression across a growing groupAnnual Christmas event with overnight stayHours, travel, overtimeMon to Fri 08:30 to 17:00 with 30 min lunchFirst 30 mins travel each way unpaidOvertime rates at usual rates on weekdays, 2x on the weekend, and evenings22 days plus bank holidays, rising yearly up to 27 with an extra 3 days at 10 years serviceA bit about the companyThis is an engineer-led team where people are trusted to get on with the job.
