We are seeking an experienced and dedicated GCSE English Lecturer to join their cohesive and ambitious team of educators. Role: English Lecturer – GCSE Location: Warwickshire Start Date: November 2025 Job Type: Temporary The Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled English Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching within a dynamic, forward‑thinking department. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting learners and confident in delivering both GCSE English and Functional Skills. Your contribution will play a vital part in helping students achieve key qualifications that support progression into further study, apprenticeships, or employment. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and high‑quality lessons in GCSE English and Functional Skills Plan, prepare, and assess teaching materials in line with curriculum requirements and learner needs Support and motivate learners with varying abilities to ensure successful outcomes Monitor learner progress and provide constructive, timely feedback Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall learner experience Contribute to departmental meetings, quality processes, and curriculum development Maintain accurate records in accordance with college policies and awarding body guidelines Educations, Skills and Experience Degree in English or a related subject A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) Proven experience delivering GCSE English and/or Functional Skills within a post‑16 or FE environment Strong knowledge of the GCSE and Functional Skills curriculum Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills A learner‑centred approach and a commitment to supporting positive outcomes for all students An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) If you are interested in this role or would like to apply please send through your most up to date CV.
