The Role & Key Responsibilities "Training is a very busy and challenging yet rewarding role like no other position in Surrey Police. You will be well supported to not only develop new officers but also yourself which is refreshing to say the least Coming into L&PD from an operational role was a big adjustment having been out of education for 20 years myself. Like every other officer who comes into this team I thought that I couldn’t possibly know enough to teach someone else You’ll be surprised how quickly things come back to you. For me, one of the main draws was the opportunity to gain some formal qualifications that help in my day to day role and will also help me in the future. Gaining these has put me right out of my comfort zone at times, but that’s a good thing I guess Although it shouldn’t be the only consideration when applying for this role, there’s no denying that the work/life balance is vastly improved. Joining L&PD has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made both on a professional and personal level.
