Planning Manager at Spirax Sarco Take responsibility for Production Planning for UK Supply, including forecasting, capacity planning, production scheduling and stock management aligned with customer demand. Lead and drive the planning strategy to deliver high performance results in health, safety, employee engagement, team development, profitable growth and world‑class customer service. Responsibilities Develop, implement and manage end‑to‑end planning processes to world‑class standards, including inventory level management of raw materials, components and finished goods. Improve processes using IQM, ERP/MRP and production planning tools. Achieve Sales and Operations Planning best practice and benchmark performance. Own customer service metrics such as On Time To Request, On Time to Commit, Overdue to request/commit date, Sales at risk and extended lead time items. Standardise processes across the Materials, Machine shop, and Assembly planning teams. Focus on forecasting, capacity planning, production scheduling and inventory management, including excess and surplus stock. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders about delivery and lead time issues. Build strong relationships across UK Supply and the wider business network. Develop KPIs and management reports to support decision‑making and provide accurate information to senior leadership. Lead the planning team, setting objectives, development plans and feedback. Identify and support projects and change initiatives, acting as the go‑to person for planning input. Maintain and improve EHS standards and support EHS initiatives. Qualifications and Experience Leading a cross‑functional, multi‑disciplined supply chain planning team. Delivering through forecasting, Sales and Operations Planning to provide excellent customer service in manufacturing. Strong leadership delivering tangible results. Commercially and numerically astute. Lean practices: workspace organisation, problem‑solving, process improvement, Kaizen. Experience with planning processes and systems. Developing strategies through to action and delivery. Track record of successful change management initiatives. Engaging stakeholders across functions and hierarchy to meet key metrics. Excellent influencing, organisation, proactive communication and presentation skills. Ability to work in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment with conflicting demands.
