Solutions Architect (Gov / Azure)Outside IR35 | Remote | £500 | 4 months +SR2 is supporting a consultancy partner working a government department on the next phase of an ongoing architecture transformation programme. Following the successful definition of an architecture maturity roadmap and operating model, the team now requires an experienced Solution Architect to help stabilise and strengthen architectural capability within the organisation while piloting new processes and ways of working. This is a hands‑on architecture role that also offers the opportunity to shape governance, uplift team maturity, and support the rollout of enterprise‑wide architecture improvements. This is an Azure environment and as such, candidates with a background in Azure and Microsoft certifications will be advantageous.Key responsibilitiesSupport the Enterprise Architect in piloting and embedding a new architecture operating model and governance frameworkProvide end‑to‑end solution architecture input into the project, including design artefacts and governance approvalsAct as a pathfinder for new ways of working, ensuring alignment with the architecture maturity roadmapCoach and mentor existing and new Solution Architects, embedding good practice and architectural disciplineContribute to architecture maturity initiatives and continuous improvement activities across the functionRequirementsExperience working within UK Government (including GDS programmes) – essentialAzure / Microsoft certifications and experience – highly desirableStrong experience delivering solution architecture within complex public sector or regulated environmentsDeep understanding of enterprise architecture governance, frameworks, and processesProven track record implementing or improving architecture operating modelsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levelsOverviewOutside IR35£500Remote first (adhoc travel to London for key meetings)Start ASAP4 months + extensionsPlease apply with a copy of your CV and Emma from SR2 will contact potential candidates regarding next steps. #J-18808-Ljbffr
