Learning Support Assistant with Midday Duties Job Ref No. ECC2901-181S | Position Type: Teaching/Child Support | Pay Range: LSA Scale 3 and MDA Scale 2 Position Start Date: Immediate | Contract Type: Part-time | Contract Term: Permanent Application Close: 12/12/2025 | Midday Date of Interviews: 15th December Learning Support Assistant – Midday Assistant LSA Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 12.00pm and 1.30pm – 3.15pm (26.25 hours per week) | Scale 3 Points 5‑6MDA Hours: Monday to Friday 12.00pm – 1.00pm (5 hours per week) | Scale 2 Points 3‑438 weeks per year (term time only) We are looking to appoint a friendly, energetic and experienced Learning Support Assistant with Midday Assistant duties, with an excellent understanding of ASD / SEMH / SpLD. You will be: Conscientious, patient and enthusiastic at all times, building rapport with children and creating a safe teaching environment. Positive and motivational, with strong communication skills. Happy working on a one‑to‑one basis with the children. You will be expected to: Take some responsibility for the progress of the pupil. Help to organise the classroom to create a positive learning environment. Work with others to plan and coordinate work. Take part in school events and activities. Work alongside outside agencies. Remain calm and professional when working with children with challenging behaviours. Participate in school visits as welcomed.
