Senior Associate - Clinical Negligence Newport Legal 500 & Chambers Rated Team We're delighted to be working on brand-new instructions from a highly respected law firm in South Wales, seeking a Senior Associate to join their standout Clinical Negligence team in Newport. This is a strategic hire for an experienced solicitor ready to take on a leadership role within a close-knit, high-performing department known for its exceptional claimant work. The firm has built a reputation for delivering results that far exceed expectations, and this role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to its continued success. The Role As Senior Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in both casework and team leadership. You'll manage complex and high-value clinical negligence claims while mentoring junior fee-earners and contributing to the department's growth and development. Your responsibilities will include: Leading by example in delivering expert legal advice and compassionate client care Supervising and supporting fee-earners and support staff to ensure efficient case progression Coaching and mentoring team members to enhance performance and professional development Driving business development through networking, client relationship management, and strategic input Representing the department at external events and internal management meetings About You We're looking for a confident and capable solicitor who offers: A minimum of 5 years' PQE in clinical negligence Proven experience managing complex caseloads and leading teams Strong interpersonal, strategic, and decision-making skills A proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to excellence Why This Firm?
