Skin Integrity Specialist Sister The closing date is 14 December 2025 To provide specialist advice and education to patients, carers and all health care professionals on all aspects of skin integrity throughout the Trust. To ensure the maintenance and development of clinical excellence in skin integrity by informing and utilising the Trust's Skin Integrity team's policies, strategies, audit processes, education and research agenda. Main duties of the job To deliver individualised patient care based on evidence best practice. To create a highly visible profile throughout the Trust. To act as an accountable role model through the provision of competent practice. To act as a patient/staff advocate through the application of ethical, legal and professional knowledge and skills. To utilise an approach which fosters research appreciation and critical awareness, whilst demonstrating the application of evidence based practice. To contribute to the evaluation of the appropriate use of Skin Integrity products in order to facilitate the cost‑effective selection of these products in the provision of care. To provide cover for Skin Integrity team members as determined by the Lead Nurse – Skin Integrity. To actively manage a patient caseload using a full range of clinical decision making and management plans for patients with compromised Skin Integrity issues. To demonstrate an awareness of the complex needs of different client groups when imparting or receiving sensitive, complex or contentious information. Use of specialist equipment e.g. Doppler, pressure relieving equipment, NPWT, computers Knowledge and experience in teaching theory and practical skills.
