Your expertise will shape sustainable engineering solutions, mentor junior staff, and influence key project decisions.If you’re ready to bring your expertise to a company that values technical excellence, professional growth, and making a difference in communities, we’d love to hear from you.The RoleLead the mechanical design and specification of water and wastewater treatment systems, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.Oversee project delivery from concept through to detailed design and construction support.Developing detailed specifications for survey requirements, equipment, systems and interfaces between disciplines, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standardsProducing mechanical designs using project specifications, standard requirements, outline scopes of work, and/or site investigationsInnovate, challenge, and consider continuous improvement across projects and designsSupport the addressing of challenges encountered across our teams, bringing your unique experience to assist in defining solutions.Assisting less technical team members with the specification of technical plant and machineryLiaison with project managers and commercial teamsAttending site, both during and after projectsProducing and carrying out technical presentations during client visits and meetings.We offer a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, and we also offer some flexible working.Roles are available in our Bath (Head Office), Newport, Poole or Maidstone offices and will relate to the clients those offices support.This is based on a 42.5hr contract Monday to Friday.At Bridges we are more than Engineers.We are listed on the Sunday Times Top 100 Places to Work 2024.As a team we shape and support engineering and construction for our clients, who in turn touch the daily lives of millions of people across the UK.
