Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:45am–4:15pm. Saturdays: Occasional (around 1 in 3 on a rota) and paid at time and a half. Saturday hours: 7:30am–12:00pm. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an HGV Driver to join our client’s successful team. This is a hands‑on role, delivering materials safely and efficiently to both trade and retail customers while maintaining high standards of service. Duties of an HGV Driver: Safely operate HGV vehicles and equipment in line with license, training, and company standards Support safe loading and unloading of building materials Maintain strong awareness of Health & Safety and follow all site and road safety procedures Complete scheduled deliveries to trade and retail customers on time and professionally Keep accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and daily activity Deliver excellent customer service on every drop, representing the EH Smith brand Carry out daily vehicle walk‑around checks and report any defects immediately Use the tachograph correctly and comply with all driving regulations What we would like from you: Positive, confident, professional and safety‑focused Delivers excellent customer service that goes above and beyond Holds a valid HGV Category C license Ideally has HIAB experience and a valid ALLMI/HIAB certificate Company pension with company contribution 23 days holiday, bank holidays Company healthcare plan Onsite parking If you are interested in this role, please apply below with your most recent CV.
