Assistant Professor (Research Focussed) – Battery Sensing and BMS (110796-1225) The University of Warwick is inviting applications for a Research Focused Assistant Professor position in Battery Sensing and BMS. The role involves delivering high-impact research, collaborating with industry partners, and contributing to the University’s scientific excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead research projects in battery cell sensing, BMS development, and characterisation. Collaborate with an established UK industrial automotive partner. Develop and disseminate research outcomes in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Mentor and supervise postgraduate students. Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration across the Warwick Manufacturing Group. Requirements PhD (or imminent submission) in a relevant field. Experience in sensor development, wireless communication, and embedded electronics. Background in battery system development and experimental assessment of battery technologies. Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a diverse research team. Evidence of completed or ongoing research projects relevant to the role.
