Role Overview Join our dynamic team of physiotherapists who strive towards supporting holistic recovery and regaining independence supporting admission prevention, hospital discharge and supporting patients within the community. We have a Band 6 post that is a 12 month secondment or Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave. You would be expected to complete comprehensive and accurate physiotherapeutic assessments and treatments, to use a wide range of your clinical skills including balance, neuro, respiratory and musculoskeletal assessment, to communicate excellently, to carry your own caseload of community patients, delegate efficiently, and help to support other members of the team including completing supervision. The Clinical caseload is varied and can be challenging including neurological, musculoskeletal, falls, multi-pathology, complex physical needs, including long term conditions and chronic pain. We will ensure you have regular supervision to ensure you feel supported with caseload queries. This post is ideal for you if you want to be part of an organisation that is committed to supporting your growth and development within your role and beyond. Alongside regular supervision you will also have a structured local induction. We love what we do and we believe you will too Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP. Clinical Context We are a dynamic service providing patient–centred assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to residents of Coventry. Coventry has a diverse and cultural demographic therefore the patient caseload is unique. Our team help support those that have long term conditions with short- or long-term therapy goals, whether that’s posture management advice or returning to an activity they love. For more information on this role please see the attached support information. This will give you a better overview of the role and requirements. The group is currently trialling a new Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) model following a collaborative event with internal and external stakeholders. This pilot aims to explore team structures and assess the impact on patient experience. While no formal redesign has taken place yet, the outcomes of this trial may inform future service delivery and team configuration across the group. If you are successful in your application, please be aware that your team structure and line management may be subject to change in the future as part of this evolving model. However, any formal changes will be preceded by appropriate consultation in line with organisational policy. Key Responsibilities Effectively manage a caseload of patients providing evidence‑based assessment and interventions, ensuring the physical, psychosocial, behavioural, perceptual, cognitive, sensory and environmental needs of patients are addressed. Plan and provide physiotherapy in consultation with other colleagues in the interdisciplinary team and work in a range of settings as appropriate (e.g. patients’ homes, work environment or other community setting). Adopt a patient‑centred and sensitive approach to therapy, collaborating with patients (and/or carer(s) where appropriate) in all aspects of the therapy process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, reporting). Utilise individual and/or group work skills as appropriate to achieve agreed therapeutic goals. Have specialist knowledge of a variety of conditions including neurological, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, care of the elderly, respiratory and falls. Assist in the quality and activity monitoring systems, supporting evaluation of effectiveness of the service. Qualifications & Requirements A full UK driving license is essential for this post. International driving licence is not accepted. Secondment will be considered for internal candidates; if successful you must obtain approval from your current line manager to accept the offer.
