We have a great opportunity for a committed Calibration Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.We are looking for a dependable, dedicated and flexible individual to join our UKAS accredited Materials Team. As a member of Materials, it is key that you are able to thrive in a team environment, as well as independently. The fundamental part of the role it to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with a range of British, European and American standards so a good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures is required.The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):Calibration of testing equipmentUpdating the calibration equipment register up to dateScheduling external calibration as requiredAssisting with materials testing during busy periodsTo be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:Acute attention to detailSolid organisational skillsTeam playerAbout Materials TestingOur Materials Testing Team perform an extensive range of testing and compliance services across a wide range of construction projects including highways, rail, airfields, ports and harbours, power stations, sports stadia in addition to new build projects across Industrial, Commercial and Residential properties.
