Commodities Senior Indirect Tax Manager Join the Commodities Senior Indirect Tax Manager team with Robert Walters to support the Commodities and Global Markets business across the EMEA region. This role offers a strategic platform to drive commercial outcomes while mitigating indirect tax risk in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Provide expert indirect tax advisory support for VAT, import duties, customs duties and related taxes. Review transactions and new product proposals to ensure compliance while delivering commercial outcomes. Liaise with an international network of business advisors to interpret, implement and challenge advice. Collaborate with business and operational teams to develop best‑practice indirect tax risk management processes. Offer strategies for mitigating indirect tax costs while maintaining compliance with legislative changes. Manage relationships with revenue authorities to meet reporting requirements and foster positive engagement. Provide clear guidance on complex indirect tax issues to internal stakeholders. Monitor legislative developments across EMEA that may affect the Commodities and Global Markets business unit. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Indirect Tax team. Promote knowledge sharing across divisions to enhance tax risk management practices. Qualifications & Experience Significant indirect tax advisory experience in financial services or commodities, focused on VAT and related taxes. Ability to analyse complex transactions and provide practical, commercially balanced advice. Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven collaborative engagement. Capacity to handle multiple assignments and prioritise in a fast‑paced environment. Commercial mindset to identify cost‑mitigation opportunities without compromising compliance. Strong problem‑solving and risk‑based thinking abilities. Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to non‑specialist audiences. Up‑to‑date knowledge of indirect tax legislative developments affecting commodities in EMEA. Experience building effective relationships with revenue authorities in an international context.
