Improvement Manager - Procurement at Free-Work UK Location: Barrow-In-Furness – flexible and hybrid arrangements available. Salary: £56,000+ (depending on experience). What You’ll Be Doing Managing change within the function and chairing functional change boards at all levels. Leading and developing the Functional Improvement team while coaching and mentoring in the effective application of tools and methodologies. Analyzing operational performance to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas that would benefit from an improved performance. Leading projects end‑to‑end, ensuring successful implementation and long‑term sustainability. Facilitating training sessions and workshops. Tracking and reporting on benefit realisation. Collaborating with the Transformation team and broader function to support the successful delivery of the Supply Chain functional strategic objectives. Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience driving improvement, operational excellence, or process optimisation within Supply Chain functions, with line management capability. Good understanding of Procurement processes. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), or other improvement methodologies, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Experience managing stakeholders and influencing outcomes. Desirable Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
