We have exciting opportunities for Graduate Geotechnical Engineers to join the UK's largest and most diverse geotechnical and ground engineering contractor. Responsibilities Undertake geotechnical analytical work, from planning, execution and reporting of Geo-Environmental and Geotechnical site investigations Assist with various field activities including assessment and analysis of geotechnical conditions and investigations Involvement in laboratory testing programmes for soil and rock samples Prepare and assist with reviewing, analysing and interpreting geotechnical data Assist with report writing and technical notes Undertake Research & Development projects including developing innovative engineering tools and solutions Implement operational quality control measures and quality assurance processes Take a proactive approach in the responsibility for Health and Safety Attend regular meetings with internal and external parties Undertake contaminated land assessment and site remediation using appropriate technical skills Conduct soil and groundwater risk assessments, liaising with clients and regulators Working collaboratively with engineers and other technicians to deliver quality evidence led reports Conduct self in a way that reflects and promotes the Van Elle company values. Qualifications A minimum 2:2 BSc (Hons) in Geology, Civil Engineering or related subject Previous practical construction experience (desirable) Experience with AutoCAD preferable IT competent in Microsoft packages Valid CSCS would be beneficial Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure Good attention to detail and accuracy of work Effective planning and organisation skills A structured approach to problem solving Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of the relevant legal and safety regulations Other Requirements Eligible to work and live in the UK. Flexibility to travel in the UK.
