We are assisting a council in Berkshire in their search for a Change Delivery Consultant to join an exciting Civic Redesign Programme focusing on the relocation of the library service

This workstream is one of three in the Civic Redesign programme and will report to the Capital Programme Manager. The successful candidate will need strong stakeholder analysis and engagement skills in order to thrive in this role.

Although initially a 3-month contract, there are opportunities for extensions with the council as the project as a whole has funding until March 2025

For this contract, Local Authority/Council experience is essential.

This is a hybrid role with one day a week in the office and a day rate of £450 – £550, inside IR35.

Your Main Responsibilities will include:
  1. Delivery of small to medium-sized projects from within the programme, managing the change control processes ensuring project plans are developed to the required standards.
  2. Reporting completed in a standard format to quality and time – Governance strengthened via improved reporting and decision-making.
  3. Up-to-date and thorough RAID Log – risk and issues are managed more effectively, improving the risk and health of the programme.
  4. Data analysis – Data used to inform decision-making and improved delivery of Boards to steer and deliver programmes and projects.
  5. Improving documentation for audit purposes and ease of access for stakeholders.
  6. Enhanced stakeholder collaboration and satisfaction.
