Previous experience providing the technical application support of services during major incidents, including understanding and exposure to the ITIL Service Management Framework. User Focus – Evidence of successfully communicating complex technical information to stakeholders while influencing their decision making. Continual Improvement – Evidence of proactively seeking and implementing improvement initiatives from a technical and process angle. Service Focus – Evidence of collaborating with other technical teams to provide a quality service. You and your role You'll help keep our applications running smoothly and make them even better. You’ll work with a mix of technologies, from Linux and Windows servers to databases, cloud platforms and third‑party software. Daily tasks include troubleshooting issues, deploying changes, monitoring performance, and improving processes. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, sharing knowledge and working closely with developers, architects, testers and other specialists. We use frameworks such as ITIL, Agile and Scrum to run efficiently and deliver real value to our users. On the technical side you’ll manage certificates and key exchanges, diagnose networking issues, and work across both cloud and on‑prem environments. You’ll also be involved in proactive monitoring, implementing fixes and contributing to continual service improvements. Hybrid Working: Some time working from home and some time collaborating face‑to‑face in a hub. Pay: Competitive pay of up to £39,621. Pension: Civil Service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £10,000 per year. Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 24 days rising to 31 days over time.
