Deputy Care Home Manager – Key Information An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Care Home Manager to work in a residential service based in the Folkestone, Kent area. You will be working for one of the UK's leading health care providers. Service Overview This is a fantastic service that provides residential support for males and females with Prader–Willi syndrome (PWS). The home is located in a tranquil setting on a private housing estate. Eligibility To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 in Health or Social Care. Key Responsibilities Promote an enabling environment, ensuring high standards of professional practice and compliance with external regulatory standards. Deputise for the manager in their absence. Provide management, support, advice and motivation to the staff team to ensure residents are supported to be as independent as possible and achieve their goals. Work with people who have a learning disability and can present with complex behaviours. Be highly flexible in your approach. Preferred Skills and Experience Demonstrable managerial experience in a similar role, having supervised a staff team. Understanding of person-centred, needs-led and outcome-based service. Committed to quality care and service provision. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work under own initiative. Benefits The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary of £14.40 per hour (annual salary £29,952) in a permanent full-time role working 40 hours a week.
