What is the purpose of the role To ensure that all transport arrangements are made quickly efficiently accurately and where applicable the most cost effective. Primary responsibilities To coordinate delivery / collection requests from all areas of the business so they are received on time. To coordinate transport so all parts of an order are delivered together where applicable. Ensure correct documentation is raised depending on country of delivery / collection including country specific requirements. To ensure accuracy of all delivery addresses and documentation. Where applicable obtain quotes to ensure that the transport is the most cost effective within the time constraints. Raise quotes as requested from other teams. Keep accurate records of deliveries / collections POD etc and file in the correct place. Arrange internal stock movements between Ishida offices. This includes transfers via Nippon or DHL. Communicate effectively with customers internal and external and all external transport suppliers Use knowledge and expertise to sense check information provided for weights dims HS Codes etc. Have knowledge of transport methods and portals e.g. DHL and Nippon What skills are we looking for The successful candidate will have a strong level of IT literacy and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. They will be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard and within tight deadlines. A self-motivated approach combined with a polite and helpful manner is essential as is the ability to work well within a team environment. A strong work ethic loyalty and a genuine desire to achieve are also key attributes for this role. The ideal candidate would ideally have experience handling courier shipments particularly with providers such as DHL. They should also ideally possess a solid understanding of incoterms and HS Codes along with experience in preparing and managing the documentation required for shipping including commercial invoices packing lists and certificates of origin. However it is essential to be adaptable flexible and the ability to tackle challenges with enthusiasm and efficiency are vital in ensuring continued success in this position.
