As the first point of contact, you will greet clients with a smile, assist with scheduling appointments, answer inquiries, and provide general support. This full‑time position requires 40 hours per week, with a 1:6 weekend rota. Responsibilities Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival. Booking appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary. Promoting our Healthcare Plan so that pets receive premium discounted preventative treatment. Booking follow‑up appointments for the pet after an initial consultation. Assisting the veterinary and nursing team with queries. Scanning paperwork onto the digital records of pets. Coordinating with clients regarding appointment booking and medication collection. Ordering food and medication. Processing payments immediately after treatment and applying 0% finance options for larger operations. Managing a busy reception desk efficiently and professionally, including handling emails and social media pages. Qualifications Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar customer‑facing role within the veterinary or medical industry. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service. Proficiency in computer systems and software; experience with RxWorks is a massive plus. Comfortable cuddling pets – that’s a must.
