Job Description Send Officer (Permanent) – Grade 8 SCP 18-21 (Scottish): £27,428.47 – £29,206.62 actual salary (FTE £31,537 – £33,143). The role is part of the core support team: Lead SENDCO, SENDCO, Inclusion Coordinator and over 30 TAs. Key Responsibilities Contribute to daily support of the school and ensure all pupils are catered for during their time in our setting. Promote equality, support the values and diversity of the school community, and foster an atmosphere of respect, recognition and mutual support. Prioritise workload, meet strict deadlines and adhere to the SEND Code of Practice. Work with vulnerable children, manage challenges, and liaise with parents and external agencies in a professional, prompt and confidential manner. Produce strategies and interventions to help SEND students achieve their full potential. Serve as a role model to others and effectively manage team members where appropriate. Qualifications & Skills Experience working with students with SEND, including producing and implementing support strategies. Good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and Looked After Children guidance. Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage deadlines. Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of British values and protected characteristics.
