Job Overview The post is an appointment to work at Broomfield Hospital within Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, to support the undergraduate/postgraduate teaching programme for medical students/resident doctors. This post is a maternity cover for 6 months only. Your role will have a proposed start date of the 1st February 2026 and, as per the funding, will be a fixed term contract until 4th August 2026. The main duties of the post holder will be the implementation and integration of the medical curriculum. Please note that the role may close early depending on the number of applications. Responsibilities Deliver student teaching focused on clinical skills, patient teaching and case‑based discussions. Identify and manage any teaching skills gaps, and work to address these through a structured provision and by identifying medical students in difficulty. Provide simulation training as a key part of the learning experience. Attend undergraduate operational meetings at site and faculty meetings held off site at the Medical Schools in London and Chelmsford. Develop e‑learning resources to support student education. Contribute to the departmental teaching programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including preparation and implementation of Royal College mock exams, final PACES, Medical School mock and final MBBS. Work closely with the Sub‑Dean/Undergraduate Lead, Associate DME, CTF Site Lead, Medical Education Manager, Simulation Team and Undergraduate/Postgraduate Administrators.
