Joining the urban drainage national team means working with a multidisciplinary group on major water company projects and delivering innovative digital services. Responsibilities Develop sewer system models to identify deficiencies and generate outline solutions. Create 1D and 2D models to analyze flood risk and flooding mechanisms. Analyse sewerage operational data and perform hydraulic model root‑cause analysis. Support the development of technical reports and other project deliverables. Conduct site asset surveys for physical and condition assessments. Prepare and adhere to health and safety risk assessments. Engage with clients, contractors, stakeholders and professional bodies throughout project lifecycle. Qualifications BSc/BEng/MEng in engineering, geography, GIS, science or equivalent experience. Prior experience in wastewater modelling with InfoWorks ICM. Knowledge of InfoWorks 2D/ICM, InfoNet/InfoAsset. GIS software proficiency (QGIS, MapInfo or ArcGIS). Understanding of the UK water industry. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proactive, self‑starter mentality. Willingness to learn and progress toward a professional qualification. Desirable Criteria Experience in water supply, treatment or drainage projects. Experience with DWMPs and/or SOAF. Knowledge of local water client specifications. Experience with FME, Power BI, Ruby, Python, Visual Basic. Experience in a partnering environment. Full UK driving licence.
