Job Title Graduate Planning Consultant Company Overview SLR is a global sustainability solutions consultancy with 4,000+ employees across 6 regions. Employment Details Entry‑level, full‑time role with a hybrid working model. At least part of the week will be spent in the office to benefit from mentorship and cross‑disciplinary collaboration. Job Overview Work on a range of planning and Environmental Impact Assessment projects throughout the UK, from pre‑acquisition due diligence to site delivery. The role is suited for graduates or recently graduated professionals with some commercial experience. Responsibilities Involved in the full spectrum of planning activities, from research and data collection to submission and negotiations with local authorities. Support EIA documentation and liaise with specialists in acoustics, air quality, hydrology, and landscape architecture. Collaborate with senior planners, technicians, and other consultants, providing supportive project coordination. Qualifications RTPI accredited degree or equivalent planning degree; post‑graduate qualification or Masters preferred. Strong knowledge of the planning system and EIA Regulations. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team and, when required, manage external consultants. Initiative to support business development or industry events. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel). Excellent time management.
