The role encompasses the full project lifecycle—from concept design through to manufacture, installation, and commissioning.Key Responsibilities Lead or support the delivery of EC&I design work across all project stages. Produce high-quality EC&I design documents and drawings in line with project standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Plan, coordinate, and manage design activities to ensure deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations are met. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure designs comply with relevant engineering principles, safety standards, and site regulations. Essential Qualifications & Experience Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Control, or similar engineering discipline. Minimum of 5 years professional engineering or technical specialist experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with stakeholders and team members. Ability to independently solve complex technical problems. Strong organisational skills, including managing own workload and supporting others to meet deadlines. Eligible to gain Security Clearance (SC). Desirable Skills & Experience Experience interfacing with other technical disciplines. Chartered engineer status, or working towards chartership. Previous experience on a nuclear site or other highly regulated environment. Familiarity with AMTECH ProDesign or similar cable calculation software. Competency in AutoCAD design. Experience with BIM-enabled projects.
