Trainee Field Technician- Nights

FJA are working with a large water utilities company who are recruiting for Trainee Field Technicians. The successful candidate will be trained to find water leaks on the underground water networks.This role is working Nights – 40 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).This is a temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.Benefits as a Trainee Field TechnicianCompany van/fuel card providedExcellent training programmeFantastic career progressionRequirementsFull UK Driving LicenceAttention to detailProblem‑solving mindsetGood communication skillsAbility to follow procedures and health & safety regulationsResponsibilitiesAssist in detailed surveys to identify the type and location of water leakageUse acoustic and electronic equipment (correlators, ground microphones, listening sticks) to identify leaksCarry out controlled flow tests by isolating sections of the water network to pinpoint leakage areasConfirm suspected leaks and validate trunk mains and seepage issuesUndertake project‑based surveys beyond routine detection, often for large‑scale leakage reduction programsAssist repair gangs by providing leak detection servicesAssist in survey work/project work not normally associated with day‑to‑day leak detectionAssist in adequate and accurate completion of all paperwork (including time sheets, survey forms, leak details and other duties as required)Possess basic computer skills as you will be uploading data onto a laptopHold a full and valid driving licence, as you are required to drive for the roleFull TrainingEUSR Water Hygiene TrainingUnit 2 Street WorksWho Should Apply?GraduatesEx‑ForcesDrivers / Driving (Multi Drop, Meter Readers, Delivery Drivers)People with a manual working/outdoor backgroundPlease note that this role is subject to compulsory drug and alcohol testing.If you are looking for a fantastic career as a Trainee Field Technician and want to work for a forward‑thinking Company then apply now with your current updated CV.Due to the high volume of applications, we receive we are not always able to reply to all applications.
