Hotel Cook – MOXY Southampton This position is based on a full time contract. How exciting would it be to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment preparing the food for our guests and ensuring they leave with a great all‑round experience?We are looking for someone to work in our kitchen operation at Moxy Southampton. We are a busy hotel where guests are looking for quick but nutritious meals. You don’t need to be a chef but you do need to have a passion for food, be organised, and be able to work under pressure. Experience with Michelin chefs would be advantageous but not essential as training will be given. Main Tasks & Responsibilities Prepare food using Michelin chefs Present food in line with brand standards Preparation, set‑up, service, clean up and restocking of the appropriate prep areas of food Place food orders and ensure food cost is in line with budgets Restock, take deliveries, plan orders, and organise BOH areas Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area Full ownership of FIFO system (first in, first out) of food items Follow all food safety policies to work safely Food handling according to HACCP regulations (product rotation, temperature maintenance and record keeping, storage procedures, etc.) Maintain a positive attitude and create a buzz in the kitchen We’re looking for someone with Moxie, which is all of these things: Have high energy and a fearless do‑it‑yourself attitude Passionate about food Skilled multi‑tasker who can balance hard work with great service and forward thinking Clear communicator, fluent in English (and other languages a plus) Useful Experience Experience within the service industry Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws Personal experience of travel and the travel industry BENEFITS FOR YOU Health Cash Plan Discounted room rates for you, as well as your Friends and Family, at Marriott hotels worldwide Discount on Food & Beverages at Marriott hotels worldwide Enhanced Maternity/Paternity/Adoption pay Pension scheme Twenty‑eight holidays (annually increasing to max thirty‑three holidays) *A personality assessment can be part of the recruitment process* About Hotel Co 51 Hotel Co 51 is a fast‑growing, European hotel operator of Moxy Hotels, Courtyard By Marriott, Residence Inn, and AC Hotels by Marriott.
