Overview Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Relief Chef to join our team covering sites from Birmingham, Bicester and Milton Keynes. Ideally you will be Midlands based and willing to travel, as there will be some overnight stays. The successful candidate will be working in prison kitchens and will work alongside prisoners to support them in the production and cooking of food for up to 2000 prisoners. The Relief Chef will be responsible for preparing basic quality foods within a set pre-ordered menu. You will be collaborating with a team of Chefs; you will be motivational and have a positive outlook and excellent attention to detail. Responsibilities Work in a large kitchen or multiple kitchens with a team of Chefs and Assistants. Allocate tasks to ensure teams are fully utilised and food preparation activities are delivered using standard recipes and in line with Aramark brand standards. Ensure efficient execution and delivery of all food line products in line with the daily menu; maintain the integrity and quality of the Aramark food offer. Manage stock flow and rotation of product within the unit. Requirements Chef experience. Own reliable transportation with business insurance. Lived in the UK for 5+ years with valid right to work and be able to pass security vetting. Flexibility as a team player who does not mind travelling and overnight stays, if required. What we offer Full-time position, £16.15/hour, 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (no late evenings). Travel time as well as mileage paid. Incentive bonus of one full week pay after 6 months (to be paid back if you leave within 12 months). Full-time permanent role, no rota system as it is to cover holiday and sickness and varying sites.
